Hosted in Partnership with Vacancysoft, the AI Transformation Forum is a quarterly breakfast event, for business owners and senior executives who are interested in how technology is transforming business and what this means for hiring trends as a result.

Some key takeaways from what was discussed:

AI vacancies across Financial Services (of which a 3rd is now payment tech) hit an all time high in March 2026.

Across the banking and Insurance sectors, AI & Tech roles are increasing - even as others are slowing / backing out.

We are now seeing a clear divergence between headcount and profit as Ai delivers measurable results and shapes how organisations hire.

Conversely, Insurance is being heavily impacted due to the significant levels of automation now being deployed, so this is a sector to keep a very close eye on if you recruit in to it.

Historically more conservative when it comes to tech, however, Law firms are now accelerating their investment in AI.

New roles are actively being created in the legal sector that blend legal skills with tech skills putting added demand on staff and how they are hired.

There is a very obvious arms race happening in the legal sector right now, as they look to build out their own proprietary systems that work with their own IP due to their traditional offering becoming heavily commoditised.

Lifesciences as a sector is not seeing the same level of hiring at present, yet Biotech remains at the forefront of AI.

Overall Life Sciences remains a key segment of the UK's industrial strategy. It is clear that some sectors will see big growth, some will be flat but others, most notably the creative industry, will see mass disruption due to the influence of AI.

The good news is that the UK remains at the forefront of VC/PE AI investment, but we can't underestimate the impact AI is having and data insights from the likes of our Partner, Vacancysoft are, or should be, a critical component of your future business strategy.
